Hi, I’m Peter Marcel

Music and theatre rooms are my happy place.  My audiophile journey spans decades and I've methodically upgraded components over the years.  As I slowly approach my personal 'reference' 2-channel and home theatre systems, I was falling short in often the most neglected stage: room treatment. 

I built my own sound absorption panels and bass traps, but was not satisfied with the diffusion options available.  Most designs were made from dimensional lumber and were utilitarian.  My inspiration for creating a natural acoustical panel came while observing a pile of mill offcuts in my parents neighbours yard in rural Vancouver Island, BC.  Every autumn they would burn this pile to make room for next years offcuts.  And so, I started sorting through these piles every year seeking the shapes and sizes that fit my vision.  Each piece was de-barked, cleaned, cut, cubed, sanded, coated and mounted onto panels that I began hanging in my listening room and theatre.
